I chose to stay at Les Cavalets solely for its proximity to the Gorges du Verdon, a place I had always wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free parking offered by the property. Additionally, the location of the hotel in a regional park and on a lake added to the overall beauty of the surroundings. The shared lounge provided a cozy and comfortable space, and I enjoyed grabbing snacks from the coffee shop/café and having a drink at the bar. The restaurant served delicious meals for lunch and dinner, and the daily continental breakfasts were a great way to start the day.
Minor inconvenience with some staff.

The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking, definitely one of the best in the area. The restaurant serves delicious Provençal meals. I also enjoyed engaging in activities like windsurfing and cycling.
Oh, how I loved sleeping on dirty beds with old blankets covered in other people's hair. Such a delightful experience!

The value for money at Les Cavalets was excellent, and our room had a charming French touch to it. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the lake from the restaurant terrace and our balcony. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.
Hotel breakfast could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The double room at Hotel Les Cavalets was amazing! It had a terrace with outdoor furniture, which was perfect for enjoying the beautiful views and relaxing. The private bathroom came with a bath or shower, giving me options for a nice soak or a quick rinse. Every room had its own private bathroom, which was super convenient.
I personally didn't like the fact that the bathroom didn't have a bathtub. But hey, that's just my preference.

The hotel had a charming and elegant decoration, with beautiful antique furniture that brought back memories of a bygone era. The general areas were well-maintained and had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views of the St-Croix lake. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy access ramps and spacious elevators that made it comfortable for me to move around without any difficulties.
I would have asked for more options catering specifically to senior people's needs, such as handrails in the bathrooms or extra assistance from the children working there. This would have made my vacation even more enjoyable and ensured my safety and comfort throughout my stay.

The staff were genuinely nice, attentive, and the hotel had a sheltered swimming pool with clean sun beds. The restaurant had a good selection of reasonably priced and tasty meals, with plat du jour changing daily. The hotel was also close to the stunning Gorges du Verdon and had a great breakfast with a lake view.
Felt happy, nothing to complain about.

The hotel had a stunning location with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Being able to enjoy the view while having dinner or breakfast was definitely a highlight. the food at the restaurant was delicious and well-cooked, providing a tasty dining experience.
It didn't have the promised lake view as advertised, and instead had a view of the road. The room itself was small and outdated, which was not what I expected.

The breathtaking lake views from the restaurant terrace and balcony were absolutely mind-blowing. The clean and comfortable en-suite bedroom had a charming traditional French vibe. The reasonably priced 3-course set menu at dinner offered a great variety of delicious options. The outdoor swimming pool was a perfect size for a refreshing swim. The location was superb, with an amazing view over the lake. The breakfast was enjoyable, especially with the stunning view. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing us with a fan when needed. The breakfast staff, with their funky style, made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was lovely and the food was EXCELLENT. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. The terrasse dining was simply jaw-dropping, with lavender-fringed views of the lake. The meals were reasonably priced and ample, and the changing plat du jour options were very tasty. The hotel had a sheltered swimming pool with clean sun beds. The rooms had a traditional feel, and the terrasse room with a lake view was a must-book for the unforgettable scenery. The garden was beautifully decorated with roses and lavender, and additional sun beds provided a perfect spot to relax and take in the lake view. The staff were genuinely nice, always smiling and attentive. The hotel's location outside the village was not a concern, as the local village was quaint and offered everything we needed. The lake had little beaches, boat rentals, and stunning gorges nearby, providing plenty of activities such as hiking, cycling. The beach access and sun loungers were a great addition. The fact that the hotel allowed pets was a plus, and the no smoking policy on site was appreciated. The overall experience at this hotel was super, exceeding our expectations in every way.
